broken
People used to envy my family. They used to say things like "You have such a happy family!", "Your kids are so obedient!", "Your parents are so cute." I used to envy my family. Upon hearing about other family conflicts, I would always be grateful that I had none. It is hard to recall when exactly things started to change. And it wasn't for the better. This place that I'm supposed to call home has turned into a place I loathed coming home to. I would rather be anywhere in the world than home. It's tiring. It's the same shit everytime. And it's left me at the point where I'm speechless, emotionless, and helpless. I don't know what I can do to help. To fix this dysfunctional family of mine. I can't envision happiness here because this will never fix itself. It's a downward spiral from here unless a miracle happens, and frankly I don't believe in them. I ashamed to say that I'm physically capable of reaching a solution, but I don't have the strength to pull through this by myself. I can't do this myself. If I could leave everything that I have behind me, buy a plane ticket leave this place with no consequences, I would.

food junkie-
I kinda want to turn my blog into a food blog. I've been trying some new places and I think they're worth sharing with you guys! Nothing too fancy but here it is!
SUSHIHOLIC -
Located on the corner of Rupert and Broadway.
I've passed by this tiny restaurant so many times before, and I always thought that it's just like any other small japanese joint..maybe worse because it was so small and low-key. However, I have been told and recommended by friends that this restaurant is amazing and definitely worth a try. So today Justin and I decided to go there for dinner, after I left my friends barbeque.
Here is what we ordered:
Red Roll:
If you are familiar with the restaurant, Oyama, you may have heard of, or tried this roll before. It was a Must-Order everytime i went to Oyama. Justin told me that one of the chefs left Oyama and now works at Sushiholic, and so that's why they also have this item on the Special Roll menu. I have to say, this is even better than Oyama's. The portion is a lot smaller, and it's more pricier ($7.95 compared to ~$4.50) but it definitely tasted a lot more fresh. I give this a 10/10. Nothing bad to say about it.
Alaska Combo:
I enjoyed this combo, the Alaska roll was good, although I always thought that the salmon on the roll was supposed to be smoked. The salmon and tuna sashimi was good, but nothing that blew me away like the Red Roll did. haha 8/10.
Awesome Roll:
Where shall i begin with this roll?? I loved everything about it. Especially the fried yam crumbs at the top. I believe this was also $7.95, I definitely recommend trying this one. 10/10.
The ambiance of this restaurant was very chill and the interior is actually bigger than it looks from the outside. I enjoyed their service and will definitely be returning.

raisin pie with French vanilla icecream topped with strawberries+bananas & chocolate drizzle -
For the past week, I've been watching cooking shows almost everyday. Every weekday at 12:30, there's Gaslight Gourmet..which is sort of an old fashioned cooking show, and the host/chef is hilarious because he's really lame and awkward sometimes when he tries to be funny hahaha so he makes the cooking more entertaining. Here's a picture of him..you already get what I mean hahah
And then at 3pm, Best Recipes ever comes on! It's my favourite cooking show so far. The recipes are so easy and they always look appetizing. She's so cute and sweet!
I just told my dad to order the Food network (yes..i don't have that channel right now ><) and I'm soooo excited to finally watch cooking shows all day long!! *teeeeehee.
I've been doing a lot of cooking lately, it's truly a passion of mine. It's so rewarding when people like what you cook and prepare. I love seeing faces when they indulge in my food made by yours truly :)
Tonight I made a dessert for my dad and sister and i! It was TDF! I only had to bake (heat up) the Raisin pie purchased from Saveway..and pot melt the Purdy's chocolate.

SUMMER TO-DO LIST
-grouse grind -my coworker who finished the grouse grind in 49mins talked me into doing it! I always thought i'm too girly girl to achieve it, and I would probably die half way...but I think people make it sound harder than it actually is. Hopefully. lol.
-bike the seawall with my boo and friends. -this is a must if you live in the beautyful vancity! Justin can get us rental bikes, or those bikes where you have 2 people riding it (forgot what it's called) with his credit card. There is no way Kaylie will carry her bike onto the skytrain and down Robson street.
-CELEBRATE the Canucks' winning of the Stanley Cup at Downtown!!! this is our year!
-go water skiing. -this is completely out of my comfort zone but it looks way too fun! I don't know where I can access that though.
-road trip down to the states with my boo. Even if it's just one day. Wanna go on a really really hot day with his car top down!
-go to a water park miles away from home with friends + play in open water + have a bbq there
-have lunch on West 4th with besties (even though one of them aren't fond of lunches, ahem.)
-get really tanned (safely)
-find a second part time job (need the money to satisfy my uncontrollable spending habits)
-get my N.
more to come!
